The sweet smell of royalty

As Jesus reclined at the table talking with his disciples, the ones that were most close to him. I could see in His eyes that this conversation was different from any other. He was attempting to make these men understand what his heart was being troubled with. I could see it upon His continence his heart was broken; He was troubled.
The men listened, well as best as men do. Some more focused on their food rather then hearing Jesus. I was listening. My heart beat faster and urgently as he spoke. He said that after just about two days He would taste death, of crucifixion. I could see in Him that nothing anyone would say or do would change this. He looked so determined that this must take place. Though I do not understand why.
As a woman who always thinks of nurturing, comforting, making sure all circumstances are tangibly met. I sat there in the corner playing with my food thinking of what I could do. My heart told me he wouldn't stop this ghastly event from happening.
What can I give? What can I do? How can I let him know his value and meaning to me? Time, I don't have much of in giving. Money, he cannot take with him. Then it hit me, the one thing I spent plenty of time earning money for, the one thing I counted as my very own little treasure. My bottle of perfume. Made of precious essence sold only to those in the kings court. I remember pestering my friend who works in the palace for weeks-not to mention spent months worth of pay for it. Oh just a dab of it sends me into a blossoming Spring, into the courtyard of a palace it absolutely makes me feel like a princess; beautiful and lovely. But He is worth more, much more. His heart alone is truly beautiful and lovely. This bottle is the least I could give him. If he indeed must die, they who crucify Him will forever remember the sweet smell of royalty. Every time they smell a flower or stand in the presence of a King they will remember the true king they crucified.
Quickly I ran home to get my pretty little jar, never once considering if what I was about to do was wise. With the same look of determination he had in his eyes I carried in mine. He looked at me as if he was waiting as entered the room, I think he even smiled underneath. I cracked the bottle and poured the fragrance then fell to my knees weeping bitterly at the love that would set me free.

My lover is knocking
Thoughts of failure freezes the path to the future, If you let it.
